apology for my 2 readers...

i guess with my excuse of being "busy" i forgot about this tiny little thing called my blog. i wouldn't even call it that yet considering how much effort, or lack thereof, that i have put into it.

so to my 2 readers out there, i apologize and look forward to more consistent posts.

hello FALL, please don't leave...

i think we're all in agreement when we say that Chicago weather is the most unpredictable thing ever. i'm really enjoying the fact that Fall seems to be longer than ever this year. 60's-70's and it's almost the end of October, what more can i ask for? aside from rolling up my pants to show off my ankle booties, layering is probably one of my favorite things to do. it's funny how the weather can inspire your fashion, but i find i bring the most creativity out during the fall season. this weather also makes people want to play all day instead of being "responsible adults," whatever that means. studying or eating pumpkin pancakes and vintage shopping.....?

when it comes to fashion and chicago, there's a mixture of thoughts. up and coming, stuck in between the east coast west coast fashions, etc... i say, it's diverse and unique in it's own way and has its own take on trends. diverse in the sense that we're a diverse city with a melting pot of people! people of all colors that come with different cultures create the feel of the city, birthing pockets of charm in every neighborhood. what works in europe, may not work here that's for sure.

featured here are few of the girls from our Water Tower and Northbrook locations [including me!]
Raquel [top left corner] is wearing a cotton dress by Something Else that has a great cut-out back, layered with a Wilfred 3/4 slv silk btn dwn top. don't be afraid to layer underneath your silk btn downs! i think we are used to tucking them into harem pants or skirts or just wearing them with skinnys. her look is pulled together with a classic Mackage leather jkt in grey to bring out the color of the dress and create less of a harsh contrast that a black leather would have given. she finishes the outfit by bundling our amazing chunky Wilfred scarf, scrunching some knee-high socks and throwing on those amazing Swedish Hasbeens booties.

my outfit is quite simple. Wilfred silk harem pants, Club Monaco silk cropped button down, Mackage leather jkt, and a Wilfred leopard scarf. i wear those pants both dressy and casual and have gotten such good use out of them! they look great with anything cropped or tucked in and have definitely become a staple piece in my wardrobe.
